Local Towing and Transport Across the Sutherland Shire

The Sutherland Shire sits in its own corner of Sydney, wrapped by the Georges River, Port Hacking and the ocean and reached by a handful of bridges. It runs from beachside Cronulla and the Miranda and Sutherland centres to the Menai plateau and the bushland edge of the Royal National Park. We tow and transport cars, 4WDs, trailers, machinery and plant across all of it. Our tilt tray trucks lower to ground level for a clean load on a narrow street or a steep waterfront driveway, and our flatbed trucks take the heavier loads, trailers and boats.

The Shire has been part of our run for more than 27 years, one of the core Sydney regions we cover, from the Cronulla beaches to the Menai plateau. We run 24 hours a day, and our drivers know the crossings and the back streets, so we plan the run into and around the Shire and turn up with the right truck. We also cover neighbouring South West Sydney across the Georges River and the Sydney CBD up the Princes Highway, so a job that runs beyond the Shire is no problem.

Crossing Into the Shire

Getting into the Shire means one of a few bridges: the Tom Uglys and Captain Cook bridges over the Georges River, the Alfords Point Bridge, and the Woronora Bridge toward Menai. Because the Shire is largely hemmed in by water, those crossings and the Princes Highway carry most of the traffic in and out.

We plan dispatch around them so we reach you without getting caught on the wrong side of the river, and we know the quickest way back out once the vehicle or machinery is loaded.

Towing Across the Shire

Once we are in, the Shire itself splits between the water and the bush. Much of it lives on the shoreline: the waterfront streets around Cronulla, Port Hacking, Burraneer, Yowie Bay and Sylvania Waters are narrow and often steep down to the water, and they fill up in summer around the Cronulla beaches. We bring a truck sized to the street, and we handle trailers and boats on trailers as well as cars.

West and south, the Menai plateau, Bangor and Illawong sit among bushland, and Engadine, Heathcote and the villages of Bundeena and Maianbar reach to the edge of the Royal National Park. Those runs are longer, and the access is bush-lined, so we plan the trip and bring the right truck for the grade.

The Shire has a working side too. Around the Taren Point and Kirrawee industrial areas, we move machinery, forklifts, plant and equipment, working with loading docks and site schedules.
